Hope and Faith

My life has been a rollercoaster in the past couple of years. There were times when I had no idea if there's tomorrow.  In the midst of all, I survived with hope and faith.

Four days back on my post someone commented and I took that positively. I googled that Last Sermon and there are so many that I couldn't understand which one I have to go through. I tried to find that person and somehow that comment was deleted. I'm still confused who was that well-wisher. Anyways, if you are reading it then please contact on my email and send me the "Last Sermon".

The past couple of days I have been too busy, one the one hand I was publishing my book, "Criminal Justice System in India" which is available on amazon kindle store now, on the other hand, my personal computer was giving trouble. My father gifted it in 2004 and I understand the value of it so well that I tried my best to save this old machine and ultimately I had to buy a new machine but I kept the father's gift aside. Yesterday only I felt comfortable after the new PC started running smoothly. I can focus on more important tasks now. Well, this is life.

Today we have an interview from Addicted2success podcast which is hosted by Joel Brown. He is interviewing Les Brown his cousin:-

  • Joel called Les the ultimate coach.

  • He grew up listening and watching his audio, videos and reading the books.

  • Les gives credit to Joel, because of him the world is a better place.

  • What is Les's greatest accomplishment?

  • His kids acknowledge his work and that is the biggest accomplishment, he says.

  • He spoke in Georgia to 80,000 people.

  • His children value his words.

  • He has 10 children and he is a single father, happy.

  • His children say Dad we were angry with you. And now while achieving our dreams we know 2 things are most important to achieve success :

  1. Service- The quantity and quality of the service you provide matters and determines success.

  2. Sacrifice- Dream comes at a sacrifice. What you are ready to sacrifice for your dream. Success comes at a cost.

  • He was born in an abandoned building in liberty city.

  • He was tagged as mentally retarded and thrown out of school.

  • One of his teachers helped him in believing himself.

  • Lots of people are addicted to alcohol and drugs.

  • You can make a commitment that I am going to be addicted to success.

  • What is a success for Les Brown?

  • The people he has taught and trained, who are going to train the world and that will make a great difference in the world is success to Les Brown. He is creating a legacy by doing it.

  • He is an average reader.

  • He is reading a book "The road to your best stuff "by Mike William.

  • Mike became his mentor.

  • Mike said to Les that he can do like Tony Robbins and Dr Vincent Norman Peale.

  • Les felt he can't compete with people having PHDs and MBAs and huge experiences.

  • Mike convinced him for 14 years before he could convince the Les, greatest regret.

  • Every year Mike told him that he has a story to tell the people.

  • Les believes that you have to believe in somebody else's belief in you, until your belief kicks in.

  • Les asked to Mike what took to him to wait so long for him?

  • Mike said that he wanted to be in his ear and he believed in him so much.

Les Brown is a renown author too now. You may have seen his books in stores.

I hope you liked this post, if so, then share with your 3 friends. Please subscribe to this post via email to receive notifications.

Work Hard on Yourself than Your Job

One of the things I learned through my struggling years, work hard on yourself than your job. As soon as I learned it, I started reading and applying the teachings from self-help books of the famous authors and coaches. And I can feel the difference but not much. Some of my good friends have closely observed me while watching me growing. Some of them admire me and most of them turned their back because of jealousy. One thing I always remind myself, be ready to walk alone. I also found there are only 2 options for everything:- You can do it Or you can not. There is nothing in between these 2 options. Today we have an interview with Eric Thomas by Lewis Howes " When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breath, then you will be successful". Eric just completed his PhD. How he did it? He says it is the American dream. It's the greatest time and country to be born. Through education he got everything. Not talking about degrees but real education. He dropped out of high s...

Design an extraordinary life by Jim Rohn

Hi there, how are you all? This pandemic time is pretty challenging. When it started we had no idea how life will be in it. Now almost after 6 months, we have started believing that the situation will be the same in the near future. No medicine is going to be invented, at least I have this feeling.  Image by  DarkWorkX  from  Pixabay   Design an extraordinary life by Jim Rohn Jim says it is possible and he doesn't know how far you want to go. The first essence is self-preservation. Produce sufficient for taking care of yourself.  Produce enough to take care of yourself. In a flight, if you are without oxygen then put your mask first only then put it on your children. His father said, "son you are the first most important person after me in my life". Andrew Carnegie said that the first half of his life he will spend in making money and the second half in giving it away. He earned 40 billion dollars in the first half and in the latter half he gave it away. We...
